We have chosen to use my Dad for the owner of the Dog because our story is about him proposing to someone, we wanted to use a full grown man for the most realistic effect possible. Although the face will never be revealed, we think it will be more effective if the feet and legs are clearly a man.
Another reason we decided to use my Dad for our main actor was that we knew he could come to my house whenever we needed him and the dog also knows him quite well and is used to him so there will be no hassle filming.
It was also important for the context of our story, when he speaks to his friend on his phone and expresses his concern about proposing, it's important to us that it as done by the voice of a man because it wouldn't look or sound right if a young voice was talking about getting engaged.
My Dad is the only human actor who will feature in the film along with Finley the puppy. Finley is a well trained king charles cavalier who is 3 months old.
OK - this is useful, but your blog as a whole needs more interesting visual material - images of the dog, your Dad (if he is willing), and dog in locations etc. These are really quite important in relation to your blog assessment.
